Greet your visitors while they are browsing your website with Paldesk’s widget trigger! Serving as an automated message on your website, the trigger of your preference will be shown right above the live-chat widget.
How does the Widget Trigger work?
Welcome your visitors and turn them into customers with a warm message. Depending on your preferences, you can choose the website rules that will trigger the automated message – the time of visit, certain action on your website. Followed with or without sound, the message to your visitors will be served on your website while they are browsing.
How to set up the Widget Trigger?
If you want to greet your customers with a live-chat pop-up message, you need to enable this feature in your Paldesk application. To enable Live-chat Pop-up, follow the next steps:
Step 1: Log in to the Paldesk application.
Step 2: Go on Administration à Website widget a tab Trigger.

Step 3: Set up the following options:
- Triggered notification enabled – if this option is enabled (green color like on the picture above), a notification bubble will be shown after a defined amount of time has passed.
- Triggered notification sound URL – a sound that will be played when the notification is shown.
- Triggered notification delay – initial delay in seconds. Notification will be shown after the delay has expired.
- Triggered notification text – text shown in a triggered notification bubble.
Step 4: Save changes
How do customers see the Widget Trigger message?
The trigger message will show the customer next to Paldesk widget in the bubble.
